Our Legacy

In 1997, Ronnie Hirshberg, founder and CEO of Agron, lost his battle to pancreatic cancer at the age of fifty-four. A year later, his son, Jonathan Hirshberg, committed to carry on his father’s legacy by founding JR286.

The name JR286 honors Jon and Ron, and pays tribute to their offshore racing boat, the Revenge 286. For over two decades, Ronnie’s passion for speed, adventure, and business has lived on within JR286 and its global team.

Today, that legacy drives our culture of innovation, resilience, and purpose — both in business and in giving back.

Philanthropy

JR286 is proud to support the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, a national nonprofit dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer.

We support this cause in honor of Ron Hirshberg, father of our Founder & President Jonathan Hirshberg, and in solidarity with the thousands diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year.
